Sunlight Bees have been specially selected for their calm disposition, however, there’s lots of external environmental factors that mean we can’t make any promises that you won’t get stung. As long as you follow the advice of the beekeeper, we would hope you should have a sting free happy experience.
There are a number of designated car parking spaces, access to the car park area is locked once you have booked in .

The apiary and whole site operate a no smoking policy, this includes Vapes.
The bees can react to odours, including smoke, scents and hair products.
The location of the Apiary and Bee Lounge is not accessible by Public Transport, please contact us to see if we can help there is a near by train station, however it is a long walk .

B&B, near to the Bee Experience .
Sunlight Bees will provide all necessary equipment for you to safely look into an active hive, this includes a full bee suit and gloves. We just ask you to bring your own wellies, and please don’t wear strong scents/perfumes. .
You just need to bring a pair of wellies, or boots. Ideally they need to be above the ankle so the suit can sit snuggly over the top, without a wandering bee being able to squeeze its way through any gaps. Also please wear a long sleeved top
If you wear glasses, please bring a cap to wear with a peak if possible..
No, we will have refreshments, and honey based cake/biscuits.
Prior to attending your course, we’ll send you an introduction letter and a checklist for attending the bee experience , we’ll also ask you to send us any specific dietary requirements you have so we can make sure we can cater to your needs.

If the weather is bad, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer a number of options, reschedule, credit slip, refund .
You won’t be able to operate a touch screen or small buttons when you have beekeeping gloves on.
We normally take a few photos to ensure you have a good souvenir of your experience. We do this as a complimentary service and will email it to you after the event.
Bee Experiences are hugely popular and attract visitors from across the UK.. It is advisable to book early, to avoid disappointment.
